My argument about cats

Kia ora  Here are the cue cards for my argument/speech about cats are the best pets. I worked in a group with Hollie, Ashton, Quintin and Taylor. Mrs B helped us and we all had to say our speech in class. the red dots are where you put the holes for each card.

Cats make the best pets.	Do you have a cat as a pet? I believe that cats make the best pets in the world.
Firstly, they are fluffy and warm to cuddle. Secondly,they catch and eat rats and mice.Thirdly, they bury their woopsies in the garden and don’t poo on your lawn.	Cats are mammals which are warm-blooded animals which have hair on their bodies. The hair on cats is very fine and soft which makes them nice to cuddle. Do you remember the last time you stroked a cat? Do you remember running your hand over their lovely fur while you listened to their delicious, rumbly purr? There is hardly a person on the planet who can resist the cuddliness of a cat.
Cats help keep our homes free of unhealthy rats and mice by hunting and eating them. If you have a cat you don’t have to worry about setting nasty traps and leaving them to lurk in secret corners inside your house where you forget about them until an awful pong lets you know you caught something. Eeeeeerrrrkkkk!!! Then you have to get the disgusting dead thing and get it out of your house without spewing everywhere. When you have a cat, it’s their job to get rid of rodents and they happily do it for no pay at all. You don’t have to lift a finger.	Your pet cat will never leave stinky piles of poo on your lawn like dogs do. Cats always bury their business in a hole in the garden. They do this so that other cats who might invade their territory and fight them have a harder job to find them. You have to admit that’s much more clever than dogs who just leave putrid piles everywhere. Also, your flowers get some fertiliser added to the soil they are growing in. What helpful pets cats are! Cute, cuddly and also clean and clever.
So, I am sure you must agree with me. Cats are scrumptiously lovely to cuddle, they keep your house free of nasty pests, and they are clean and tidy little creatures. They are definitely the best pets of all.
