My Easter Recount with Muscles, Guts and Skin.

Here is my Easter recount after I worked with the teacher to make sure it was good enough for publishing. This is what Mrs B means when she says a story needs muscles, guts and skin. I want you to notice that I used adjectives, adverbs, a simile and onomatopoeia.

  Easter in Auckland

“Yayy!!!” I said, “It's Easter!!!” At Easter weekend Me,Nan, Mop and Popa Ed went to stay in Auckland at Nana Mat’s house. We had lots of toast for  breakfast. It was so crunchy.

After a while, I shared my Easter egg with my cousin Raeden. It was as brown as mud. Then I said, “Nan, can I go and stay with Aunty Shorty, please?” Nan said that I could so I grabbed my bag.

In the car, Aunty Shorty asked,”Do you want to go to West Wave pools?”

“Yes, please!” I replied.

When we got there I ran to the big water slide. I was so ready to pop a bomb. KKKAAABBOOOSHHH!!! The wave I made was as big as a horse. But when I got out I heard a bigger splash behind me. It was Aunty.I felt really happy.
